Once everything is ready, you’ll be approved to start caring for children as a Trend Tots Educator — with full support from our team!
As a Trend Tots Educator, you can care for up to 4 children at one time, following the Ministry of Education ratio. Of these, a maximum of 2 children under the age of two can be in your care at any given time. This ensures safe, quality care and meaningful learning for every child in your home.
At Trend Tots, child safety and high-quality care are our top priorities. We ensure this through:

Yes, absolutely! Family members — including parents, grandparents, or relatives — can become Trend Tots Educators, as long as they meet the Ministry of Education’s requirements.
They must:
✔️ Be 17 years or older
✔️ Pass police vetting and safety checks
✔️ Complete training and induction
✔️ Provide a safe, nurturing, and educational home environment
Being a family member doesn’t limit your eligibility — in fact, it can strengthen the bonds and cultural values shared with the children in your care.
